From Darkness to Light

This Shloka reminds me of my school day. I was wishing someone on having passed a certification and quoted this. While searching on internet, learned something new.

Motivation - Lehron Se Darkar Nauka Par Nahin Hotin

About 10 Years before, I collected this Article and Poem from the below website.

It is the inner urge to do something in addition to do what is expected. Motivated people take extra pains to achieve unparalell heights. The reason for motivation is beyond logic and cannot be generalized. Every person has different reasons for being motivated. Why people climb Everest and why people reach north pole and south pole is unexplainable. One Chinese climbed mount Everest from behind which is the most difficult way to reach the top. On being questioned for why did he adopt this way, he answered because he wanted to show the world that this is also a way.

Thomas Elva Edison spent 18 years in developing a bulb. He could develop a bulb fully in 2 years of research but the rest 16 years were spent on looking for appropriate wire which can glow and also hold power. The thousand of wires which he used use to blow-up after initial glow. He thought that he will never be able to find the appropriate wire which could hold the current. This was the first time he got nervous. While he was depressed for spending so much time on bulb, another glorious thought came into his mind.

" Only Thomas Elva Edison in this world knows 1000 ways by which this bulb could not be made. Therefore success is most probable only for me". Motivated again he started working on this device. After spending few more years he found tungsten wire and he completed his mission of giving bulb to this world. Now available so cheap, this small thing has consumed one great life but has given life to billions of people across the globe.

We must be self-motivated to achieve our mission in life. A beautiful poem may keep our motivation intact.

" Lehron se darkar nauka par nahin hoti,
koshish karne walon ki kabhi haar nahin hoti,
Nanhi cheenti jab daana lekar chalti hai,
chadti deewaron par, sau bar phislati hai.
Mun ka vishwas ragon mein sahas bharta hai,
chadkar girna aur girkar chadna na akharta hai.
Akhir uski mehnat bekar nahin hoti,
koshish karne walon ki haar nahin hooti.

Dubkiyam sagar mein gotakhor lagata hai,
ja ja kar khali haath laut ata hai.
Milte na sahaj hi moti gehre paani mein,
badhta dugna utsah isi hairani mein.
Muthi uski khali har bar nahin hoti,
Koshish karne walon ki kabhi haar nahi hoti.
Asaflta ek chunoti hai ise sweekar karo,
kya kami rey gayi hai deekho aur sudhar karo.
Jab tak na safal ho neend chain ki tyago tum,
Sangharsh ka maidain chodkar mat bhago tum.
Kuch kiye bina hi jai jaikar nahin hoti,
koshish karne walon ki kabhi haar nahin hoti."

Meaning

If the boats fear from the waves, then they cannot cross the ocean. People who try never face defeat. A small ant carries a load in her mouth. She climbs the wall 100 times and fall down but she never gives up. In the end she is able to climb the wall. People dive deep in ocean to find a pearl. They don't succeed everytime. Pearls are not easily accessible in oceans. Many times they come empty handed. There hands are not always empty, person who try never get defeated. Failure is a challenge, accept it. What is lacking, find it. Sacrifice sound sleep till you are successful and never run away from challenges.
